SCGA CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION INFORMATION

 

43RD SCGA MID-AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

All participants must have: 1) an active SCGA Membership and 2) a Golf Genius profile to register for an event. 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:

  • 54 holes; stroke play.
  • 84 players, comprised of exempt players and qualifiers, will compete in the championship.

 

Monday, April 6: Rounds 1 (18 holes)

Tuesday, April 7: Round 2 (18 holes)

 

Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 30 scores (and ties)

 

Wednesday, April 8: Round 3 (18 holes)

 

All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play qualifying round.

 

QUALIFYING ROUNDS (18 Holes):

Tuesday, March 10: Goose Creek, Jurupa Valley     

Tuesday, March 10: Native Oaks GC, Valley Center

Thursday, March 12: El Dorado Park GC, Long Beach

Wednesday, March 25: Olivas Links, Ventura 

Friday, March 27: Griffith Park GC (Harding), Los Angeles

                                    

NOTE: Players may only attempt to qualify once.

 

ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club with a Handicap Index of 5.4 or less at the time of registration. Entrants must have reached their 25th birthday by April 6, 2026.

 

EXEMPTIONS: All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship before the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.

 

ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 7, 2026

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, March 1, 2026

 

CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages, will be emailed and posted on scga.org after the entry deadline.

TRANSPORTATION:  Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense. There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player

 

EXEMPT PLAYER ENTRY FEE: $250

 

QUALIFYING ENTRY FEE: $150 (individuals who qualify will be charged an additional $100 championship fee)

 

LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming space is still available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email. 

 

REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds before the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours before the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
